<p><strong>POSITION:</strong> Conflicts Attorney (California Bar Required)</p><p><strong>COMPANY: </strong>Global AM 100 Law Firm</p><p><strong>LOCATION:</strong> California or Fully Remote!</p><p><strong>COMP PACKAGE: </strong>Base up to $190K, Full Benefits, 401K+, Bonus, health club benefits, etc.</p><p></p><p><strong><em>Summary for Conflicts Attorney (Global Law Firm):</em></strong></p><p>The Conflicts Attorney is a valued member of the Firm’s Risk team and provides support to the Firm’s global offices. The Conflicts Attorney is responsible for reviewing conflict check reports prepared by risk analysts in connection with the business intake and new hire processes, preparing analyses identifying legal and possible business conflicts, and managing the resolution of any such conflicts. This person will work directly with partners and counsel as well as other members of Firm leadership.</p><p></p><p></p><p><strong><em>Responsibilities for Conflicts Attorney (Global Law Firm):</em></strong></p><ul><li>Review conflict reports prepared in connection with the global business intake process. Identify potential legal and business conflicts of interest issues, and provide detailed analysis and advice</li><li>Draft conflict waivers, facilitate requests and coordinate tracking waivers in firm systems</li><li>Review conflict reports prepared in connection with the new hire process; provide detailed analysis and advice firm partners as well as advising new hires on conflict issues</li><li>Erect and maintain ethical walls and other legal screens</li><li>Provide guidance to team of non-lawyer analysts in support of the business intake process, including best practices on corporate family research, and other aspects of the preparation of conflict check reports</li><li>Assist in drafting standard engagement letters and editing letters drafted by others</li><li>Answer queries from attorneys and professional staff across the firm, concerning business intake policies and procedures, conflicts of interest, and other firm policies</li><li>Assists in maintaining thorough, accurate and current records of all conflicts resolutions in database to ensure integrity</li></ul><p></p><p><strong><em>Qualifications for Senior Conflicts Attorney (Global Law Firm):</em></strong></p><ul><li>Requires a JD and at least 2+ years relevant conflicts at a top-tier law firm</li><li>Admission in CA required</li><li>Experience analyzing and advising on U.S. conflicts rules</li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills a must</li><li>Must possess strict attention to detail and be accustomed to working to very high standards of accuracy and efficiency, coupled with strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly-evolving environment</li><li>Requires excellent judgment, ability to make risk-based assessments and capability of solving problems and making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity and imperfect information</li></ul>
