<p><strong>POSITION:</strong>&nbsp;Conflicts&nbsp;Attorney&nbsp;(California&nbsp;Bar&nbsp;Required)</p><p><strong>COMPANY:&nbsp;</strong>Global&nbsp;AM&nbsp;100&nbsp;Law&nbsp;Firm</p><p><strong>LOCATION:</strong>&nbsp;California&nbsp;or&nbsp;Fully&nbsp;Remote!</p><p><strong>COMP&nbsp;PACKAGE:&nbsp;</strong>Base&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;$190K,&nbsp;Full&nbsp;Benefits,&nbsp;401K+,&nbsp;Bonus,&nbsp;health&nbsp;club&nbsp;benefits,&nbsp;etc.</p><p></p><p><strong><em>Summary&nbsp;for&nbsp;Conflicts&nbsp;Attorney&nbsp;(Global&nbsp;Law&nbsp;Firm):</em></strong></p><p>The&nbsp;Conflicts&nbsp;Attorney&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;valued&nbsp;member&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Firm’s&nbsp;Risk&nbsp;team&nbsp;and&nbsp;provides&nbsp;support&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;Firm’s&nbsp;global&nbsp;offices.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Conflicts&nbsp;Attorney&nbsp;is&nbsp;responsible&nbsp;for&nbsp;reviewing&nbsp;conflict&nbsp;check&nbsp;reports&nbsp;prepared&nbsp;by&nbsp;risk&nbsp;analysts&nbsp;in&nbsp;connection&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;business&nbsp;intake&nbsp;and&nbsp;new&nbsp;hire&nbsp;processes,&nbsp;preparing&nbsp;analyses&nbsp;identifying&nbsp;legal&nbsp;and&nbsp;possible&nbsp;business&nbsp;conflicts,&nbsp;and&nbsp;managing&nbsp;the&nbsp;resolution&nbsp;of&nbsp;any&nbsp;such&nbsp;conflicts.&nbsp;This&nbsp;person&nbsp;will&nbsp;work&nbsp;directly&nbsp;with&nbsp;partners&nbsp;and&nbsp;counsel&nbsp;as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;other&nbsp;members&nbsp;of&nbsp;Firm&nbsp;leadership.</p><p></p><p></p><p><strong><em>Responsibilities&nbsp;for&nbsp;Conflicts&nbsp;Attorney&nbsp;(Global&nbsp;Law&nbsp;Firm):</em></strong></p><ul><li>Review&nbsp;conflict&nbsp;reports&nbsp;prepared&nbsp;in&nbsp;connection&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;global&nbsp;business&nbsp;intake&nbsp;process.&nbsp;Identify&nbsp;potential&nbsp;legal&nbsp;and&nbsp;business&nbsp;conflicts&nbsp;of&nbsp;interest&nbsp;issues,&nbsp;and&nbsp;provide&nbsp;detailed&nbsp;analysis&nbsp;and&nbsp;advice</li><li>Draft&nbsp;conflict&nbsp;waivers,&nbsp;facilitate&nbsp;requests&nbsp;and&nbsp;coordinate&nbsp;tracking&nbsp;waivers&nbsp;in&nbsp;firm&nbsp;systems</li><li>Review&nbsp;conflict&nbsp;reports&nbsp;prepared&nbsp;in&nbsp;connection&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;new&nbsp;hire&nbsp;process;&nbsp;provide&nbsp;detailed&nbsp;analysis&nbsp;and&nbsp;advice&nbsp;firm&nbsp;partners&nbsp;as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;advising&nbsp;new&nbsp;hires&nbsp;on&nbsp;conflict&nbsp;issues</li><li>Erect&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;ethical&nbsp;walls&nbsp;and&nbsp;other&nbsp;legal&nbsp;screens</li><li>Provide&nbsp;guidance&nbsp;to&nbsp;team&nbsp;of&nbsp;non-lawyer&nbsp;analysts&nbsp;in&nbsp;support&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;business&nbsp;intake&nbsp;process,&nbsp;including&nbsp;best&nbsp;practices&nbsp;on&nbsp;corporate&nbsp;family&nbsp;research,&nbsp;and&nbsp;other&nbsp;aspects&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;preparation&nbsp;of&nbsp;conflict&nbsp;check&nbsp;reports</li><li>Assist&nbsp;in&nbsp;drafting&nbsp;standard&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;letters&nbsp;and&nbsp;editing&nbsp;letters&nbsp;drafted&nbsp;by&nbsp;others</li><li>Answer&nbsp;queries&nbsp;from&nbsp;attorneys&nbsp;and&nbsp;professional&nbsp;staff&nbsp;across&nbsp;the&nbsp;firm,&nbsp;concerning&nbsp;business&nbsp;intake&nbsp;policies&nbsp;and&nbsp;procedures,&nbsp;conflicts&nbsp;of&nbsp;interest,&nbsp;and&nbsp;other&nbsp;firm&nbsp;policies</li><li>Assists&nbsp;in&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;thorough,&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;and&nbsp;current&nbsp;records&nbsp;of&nbsp;all&nbsp;conflicts&nbsp;resolutions&nbsp;in&nbsp;database&nbsp;to&nbsp;ensure&nbsp;integrity</li></ul><p></p><p><strong><em>Qualifications&nbsp;for&nbsp;Senior&nbsp;Conflicts&nbsp;Attorney&nbsp;(Global&nbsp;Law&nbsp;Firm):</em></strong></p><ul><li>Requires&nbsp;a&nbsp;JD&nbsp;and&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;2+&nbsp;years&nbsp;relevant&nbsp;conflicts&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;top-tier&nbsp;law&nbsp;firm</li><li>Admission&nbsp;in&nbsp;CA&nbsp;required</li><li>Experience&nbsp;analyzing&nbsp;and&nbsp;advising&nbsp;on&nbsp;U.S.&nbsp;conflicts&nbsp;rules</li><li>Strong&nbsp;communication&nbsp;skills&nbsp;(written&nbsp;and&nbsp;verbal)&nbsp;and&nbsp;excellent&nbsp;client-facing&nbsp;and&nbsp;interpersonal&nbsp;skills&nbsp;a&nbsp;must</li><li>Must&nbsp;possess&nbsp;strict&nbsp;attention&nbsp;to&nbsp;detail&nbsp;and&nbsp;be&nbsp;accustomed&nbsp;to&nbsp;working&nbsp;to&nbsp;very&nbsp;high&nbsp;standards&nbsp;of&nbsp;accuracy&nbsp;and&nbsp;efficiency,&nbsp;coupled&nbsp;with&nbsp;strong&nbsp;project&nbsp;management&nbsp;skills&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;effectively&nbsp;manage&nbsp;priorities&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;fast-paced&nbsp;and&nbsp;rapidly-evolving&nbsp;environment</li><li>Requires&nbsp;excellent&nbsp;judgment,&nbsp;ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;risk-based&nbsp;assessments&nbsp;and&nbsp;capability&nbsp;of&nbsp;solving&nbsp;problems&nbsp;and&nbsp;making&nbsp;smart&nbsp;decisions&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;face&nbsp;of&nbsp;ambiguity&nbsp;and&nbsp;imperfect&nbsp;information</li></ul>
