About the position

Responsibilities
• Work on operational and procedural assignments that are moderately difficult.

• Participate in budget, grant, or contract preparation.

• Administer and control departmental expenditures.

• Maintain departmental records and support departmental personnel processes.

• Prepare reports and maintain pertinent files and other required records.

• Provide business services such as purchasing, inventory and stores, facilities and space utilization.

• Provide general clerical and administrative assistance to departmental staff.
Requirements
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Three years of administrative/clerical work experience or equivalent experience.
,
• Direct knowledge of University of California policies and procedures (preferred).
,
• Working knowledge in administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Active listening, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
,
• Ability to apply knowledge of University policies.
,
• Capable of working in various environments on a constantly revolving basis.
,
• Ability to pass CatBuy training class to become authorized Purchaser for the University.
