We are seeking an experienced and motivated Rail Project Manager to lead and oversee rail projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transit agency operations, federal and state regulations, and project management principles. This role will involve establishing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring successful project delivery.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
• Plan and manage all aspects of small to large single-discipline rail projects and support senior project managers with large multi-disciplinary projects.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Establish and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing, contract negotiations, and project meetings.
• Coordinate with governing agencies across multiple states to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Allocate project resources, including personnel and materials, to optimize efficiency and performance.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures throughout project development.
• Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to less-experienced staff.
• Work closely with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Controllers, and Department Managers for project financial reviews.
• Travel as required to rail project sites, in person client meeting, and industry conferences.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in rail or transit projects.
• At least 2 years of experience in a project management role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (California PE is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to actively contributing to a dynamic and employee-owned culture.
