Responsibilities
• Monitor and operate transportation, communications, and security systems.

• Dispatch LVMPD Officers to emergency and non-emergency situations.

• Maintain event logs and ensure compliance with FAA security regulations.
,
• Respond to alarms and various facility management issues, dispatching appropriate responders.
,
• Regulate information to motorists regarding lane restrictions and detours during emergencies.
,
• Monitor and operate computerized security systems, identifying potential breaches.
,
• Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents and accidents, coordinating with responders.
,
• Operate a 24/7 paging system and maintain computerized records and logs.
,
• Provide real-time surveillance and video investigation related to airfield safety.
,
• Execute life safety and security system monitoring and response.
Requirements
• Equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of full-time dispatching experience or completion of a law enforcement or fire agency dispatch academy.

• Emergency dispatch experience is preferred; college coursework or formal training is desirable.
,
• Satisfactory completion of specialized training in police dispatch operations is required before the end of the probationary period.
