About the position
The Benefits Insurance Producer acts as an intermediary between insurance companies and customers, focusing on producing new benefits business and growing existing relationships. The role requires maintaining a valid Life and Health Insurance license and providing exceptional customer service to differentiate from competitors.
Responsibilities
• Acts as an intermediary between insurance companies and benefits customers.

• Advises and recommends insurance policies that best meet customer needs.

• Produces new benefits business and grows existing relationships.
,
• Completes prospecting, cold calling, and networking to build a client pipeline.
,
• Receives and acts on referrals from other lines of business within the bank.
,
• Negotiates coverage pricing and conditions to meet client needs.
,
• Prepares and reviews documents such as proposals, quotes, and insurance documents.
,
• Utilizes technology and software applications including agency management systems.
,
• Reviews proposals and policy documents for quality assurance.
,
• Responds to internal and external service inquiries and provides problem resolution.
,
• Directs supervision of assigned account executives and/or staff.
,
• Complies with policies and procedures and adheres to service standards.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required.
,
• Minimum five years of experience in group health insurance sales or service/account management role in the group health insurance field required.
,
• Insurance Designations such as CISR, CIC, or ACSR are a plus.
,
• Supervisory or leadership skills are a plus.
Nice-to-haves
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Experience implementing social media strategies.
,
• Project management skills.
,
• Video production expertise, including shooting, directing, and editing.
