This position is essential for generating publication data and developing technical documentation for automotive and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various computer software tools and will thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict delivery schedules. The role involves creating troubleshooting, operator, and maintenance manuals based on customer-supplied source material, requiring a solid understanding of machine operating principles, particularly in electrical and hydraulic systems. As a Technical Writer, you will author technical documentation and diagnostic service procedures, utilizing information gathered from engineering resources. You will be responsible for accurately developing system-specific diagnostics and electrical service procedures, ensuring that all documentation adheres to Quality Assurance Plans and Standard Operating Procedures. This position requires collaboration with engineers, product specialists, and technicians, necessitating strong communication skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and detailed engineering specifications. Candidates must possess at least an Associate's degree in technical writing, automotive repair, or a related engineering discipline, along with hands-on experience in automotive or agricultural repair. Familiarity with heavy truck engines and agricultural product lines is desirable. Experience with desktop publishing software such as Arbortext, FrameMaker, or InDesign is also preferred. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, especially during peak volume periods. Responsibilities
• Authors technical documentation and diagnostic service procedures from source material gathered from engineering resources.

Requirements
• Associate's degree in technical writing, automotive repair, or related engineering discipline.

• Hands-on automotive/agriculture repair experience.

• 1 year of experience in technical writing (preferred).

• 1 year of experience in hydraulics (required).

• 1 year of experience in electrical systems (required).
