About the position
The Building Management Specialist will serve as a key liaison between building tenants and client representatives, assessing and addressing facility-related needs across multiple locations. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of federal properties, ensuring effective maintenance, safety, and compliance with regulations. The position is critical in maintaining positive relationships with customer agencies and overseeing various operational aspects of assigned buildings.
Responsibilities
- Interact with building tenants and client representatives to assess facility needs. ,
- Manage day-to-day operations of designated buildings within the GSA inventory. ,
- Program, develop, and direct on-site building operations including maintenance, repair, and safety activities. ,
- Identify and recommend major repair and alteration project needs. ,
- Perform contract administration and lease management duties related to assigned facilities. ,
- Develop and promote positive working relationships with customer agencies and client personnel.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or National status required. ,
- Valid driver's license is necessary. ,
- Ability to pass a background investigation (Tier 2 level). ,
- Experience managing multi-level commercial office buildings or equivalent high-rise buildings. ,
- Knowledge of building operations, maintenance, and federal regulations.
