<p>DMI, LLC is seeking a <strong>Consultant</strong> to lead a migration from Atlassian Jira to Microsoft Planner for our Federal client.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assess the current Jira setup, including projects, workflows, custom fields, and user permissions.</li>
<li>Define the migration scope and identify critical tasks (e.g., data cleanup, user management).</li>
<li>Development migration strategy and detailed timeline.</li>
<li>Set up corresponding projects and customize work item types in Microsoft Planner.</li>
<li>Choose and configure the appropriate migration tools or methods.</li>
<li>Migrate projects, workflows, custom fields, and user permissions from Atlassian Jira to Microsoft Planner.</li>
<li>Verify accuracy of migrated data.</li>
<li>Ensure workflows and permissions function properly in Microsoft Planner.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Document migration process and lessons learned.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>Education and Years of Experience: </strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical or functional discipline.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of Jira’s architecture, configurations, and data structures.</li>
<li>Proficiency in using and configuring Microsoft Planner, including project setup, task management, and basic customization.</li>
<li>Experience with data export, import, and validation process.</li>
<li>Familiar with tools or techniques for migrating data between platforms (e.g., CSV imports, API usage).</li>
<li>Ability to plan, organize, and manage a migration project from start to finish.</li>
<li>Scripting skills (e.g., Groovy, Python) for automating migration tasks or configurations.</li>
<li>Experience with API integrations.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with business and technical personnel at all levels of an organization.</li>
<li>Strong observational skills, analytical, and results oriented.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills, and a passion to learn.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
