About the position
The Supply Chain Senior Manager for Surgical Services at Kaiser Permanente will lead the Supply Chain teams across the largest and most complex clinical locations in Washington, including Tacoma, Bellevue, Seattle, and the upcoming Everett location in 2025. This role is pivotal in overseeing the application of best practices in Supply Chain and Logistics, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines, and driving the resolution of inventory, asset, and vendor deficiencies. The manager will guide the implementation of recommendations aimed at streamlining current systems to optimize and transform processes, making key decisions based on audit results and facilitating business reviews. The position requires a strategic approach to develop innovative strategies that align with the future state of supply chain operations. In this role, the manager will create and advocate for developmental opportunities for team members, fostering collaborative relationships across functions. They will solicit and act on performance feedback, set goals, and provide coaching to drive performance improvement. The manager will oversee the implementation of organizational changes, share best practices, and motivate teams to meet business objectives. They will also manage designated units by translating business plans into actionable items, ensuring compliance with policies, and partnering with stakeholders to meet service requirements. The Supply Chain Senior Manager will ensure long-term asset accounting, maintain quality customer service, and manage inventory levels effectively. They will oversee complex activities related to shipping logistics and inventory system evaluations, ensuring that purchasing strategies align with national sourcing strategies. Compliance with state and federal regulations is critical, and the manager will develop strategies to monitor and ensure adherence to these standards. Additionally, they will work closely with suppliers and vendors to evaluate performance and maintain strong relationships, guiding corrective actions as necessary. The role also involves providing technical analysis and reporting services to support operational decisions and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements
• Minimum four (4) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
,
• Minimum four (4) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
,
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Material Management, Operations Research, or related field AND minimum seven (7) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, negotiations, material management, logistics, finance, or a directly related field OR Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Materials and Inventory Control/Management, Logistics, Finance, Distribution, or a directly related field.
