About the position
The Commercial Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for advising clients on capitalization aspects, collaborating with investment bankers to attract new corporate clients, and conducting financial analyses. This role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, preparing and presenting materials to clients, and managing a portfolio of commercial clients. The position requires a blend of independent work and teamwork to provide comprehensive financial solutions, with a focus on client acquisition and ongoing relationship management.
Responsibilities
• Advise clients on aspects of capitalization, including amounts, sources, or timing.

• Collaborate with investment bankers to attract new corporate clients.

• Conduct financial analyses related to financing companies from a working capital or M&A perspective.

• Develop and maintain client relationships.
,
• Prepare and present oral and written materials on behalf of the firm to clients, including industry updates and economic trends.

• Build relationships and provide financial advice to commercial clients.
,
• Pursue client acquisition, portfolio management, and ongoing relationship management.
,
• Conduct in-person, phone, and virtual client meetings to get consistent updates on performance and needs.
,
• Perform outbound calling of prospective clients to gauge interest in forming a relationship with the firm.
,
• Manage ongoing diligence and risk management processes, including credit renewals and KYC updates.
,
• Lead a team of cash management, credit, and investment banking partners to provide appropriate solutions.

• Grow and retain profitable relationships within the Middle Market and Specialized Industries target space.

• Identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships.
,
• Work efficiently with technical infrastructure through automation and embrace new technologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations.

• Alternatively, a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations.
,
• Experience in direct lending or credit support with fluency in asset-based and cash-flow lending.
,
• Knowledge of Commercial Banking products including treasury and cash management, international banking, and derivative products.
,
• Experience in financial products including treasury services and credit products.
,
• Credit management experience including assessing credit risks and credit analysis parameters.
,
• Understanding of financial operational risks including anti-money laundering and regulatory requirements.
,
• Experience in financial analysis and credit review processes.
,
• Familiarity with commercial acquisitions and financial legal loan documentation.
