Cynet Health is looking for a Benefits Specialist to administer our employee benefits programs and leave policies, ensuring that we maintain an employee-oriented, high-performance culture. </p><p></p><h3>About the Role:</h3><p>The ideal candidate will possess experience in administering and managing a comprehensive suite of benefits, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans, as well as various leave of absence programs, such as FMLA, short-term disability, and personal leave. </p><p></p><h3>What will you be doing day to day?</h3><ul> <li>Primary responsibilities include all benefits and leave administration functions. </li> <li>Administer benefits programs including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, open enrollment, processing new hires/changes/QLEs and reconciliations. </li> <li>Support coordination of leave programs across multiple states such as short and long term disability, FMLA, Workers Comp, Military, parental and other leaves of absence and state sick pay. </li> <li>Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefit options, plan changes, claims issues, and eligibility.</li> <li>Assist in resolving benefit coverage issues with providers as needed.</li> <li>Assist with reviewing leave and benefit records for accuracy and compliance.</li> <li>Maintain and audit HRIS systems for accuracy in benefits enrollment, deductions, and eligibility tracking.</li> <li>Support compliance with federal and state laws including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and state-specific leave laws.</li> </ul><ul><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><h3>Your Experience:</h3><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (Associate’s degree or equivalent experience may be considered)</li> <li>2+ years of experience in employee benefits administration or related HR role</li> <li>Familiarity with benefits platforms, HRIS systems, and leave management tools</li> <li>Understanding of relevant compliance requirements (e.g., ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA)</li> <li>Strong customer service and communication skills to assist employees with benefits inquiries.<br> </li> </ul><h3>Your Skills:</h3><ul> <li>Strong work ethic, discipline, and performance record</li> <li>Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgment </li> <li>Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace or related software</li> <li>Solid understanding of health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement benefit programs</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive employee data</li> <li>Excellent communication skills to explain benefit programs and resolve employee issues</li> <li>Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and HR-related reporting tools for audits and data tracking.<br> </li> </ul><h3>About Cynet Health:</h3><p>Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Cynet Health is a Joint Commission Certified Workforce solutions company that helps our clients realize their talent potential through custom staffing & recruiting solutions.
