<p style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br><span style="font-size: 10px;">The Area Vice President of Sales, Middle Market, UHC &amp; UMR (AVP) is primarily responsible for generating revenue and developing new business through a consultative selling process with mid-market employer groups. The AVP is a big picture thinker that develops and executes strategic plans for approaching and selling to employer groups directly or through broker and consultant channel partner relationships. The AVP is responsible for designing and selling solutions to meet pharmacy benefit goals of plan sponsors and to meet individual AVP’s annual growth goals. </span></p>

<p style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br><span style="font-size: 10px;"><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Meet and build relationships with local, regional, and national brokers and consultants associated with employer group prospects</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Establish and maintain solid working partnerships with distribution channel partners. Consultant and broker relationships are a large component of this position</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Develop and prospect sales strategies specific to their needs</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Strategically collaborate with sales peers and functional teams within Optum Rx that directly or indirectly affect sales&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Effectively engage with executive and senior leadership&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Establish an understanding of the broader Optum enterprise&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Manage to ensure contract execution</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Lead analytical and proposal requests for prospects</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Facilitate finalist meetings including team coordination, strategy development and presentation development, as well as all follow-up communication post finalist meeting</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Follow up on prospect meetings and successfully negotiate with prospects and associated brokers and consultants within consulting partnerships</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Make presentations to employers, brokers, consultants and at industry functions to educate prospects on OptumRx pharmacy benefit solutions within the consulting market</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Manage pipeline and other sales metrics via Salesforce Go</span></li>

<ul>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">5+ years of experience in PBM in the areas of: PBM Sales, PBM Client relationship management/Account Management and/or as a Broker / Consultant of PBM or H&amp;B services&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">5+ years of experience preparing and presenting materials to clients</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">5+ years of experience working in partnership with underwriting and/or finance in PBM or healthcare, cultivating and negotiating RFP’s</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Advanced client facing presentation experience</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Ability to travel up to 50%25 of the time</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Reside in Central or Eastern time zones&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation</span></li>
</ul>
<p style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br><span style="font-size: 10px;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Advanced understanding of PBM industry</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Experience in working for a health plan or third-party administrator</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">PBM Consultant / Broker Background</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="font-size: 10px;">Experience using Salesforce Go</span></li>
</ul>

<p style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br><span style="font-size: 10px;">Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $75,000 to $160,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.</span></p>
