About the position
The Biofuels Scheduler at POET is responsible for coordinating logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. This role involves collaboration with various teams, negotiation with transportation providers, and inventory management, all aimed at maintaining high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and transportation providers
,
• Negotiate competitive truck rates with transportation providers
,
• Forecast and manage inventories at multiple load origin and destination facilities
,
• Analyze shipments to ensure efficient product delivery
,
• Ensure accuracy of transaction details with systems
,
• Collaborate across multiple business teams within the office and at production sites
,
• Problem solve as situations arise with transportation providers, customers, and production sites
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years' experience in a corporate transportation/scheduling role
,
• High School Diploma or equivalent
,
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
,
• Experience working within Database/CRM Software
,
• Willing and able to work outside of regular business hours, including evening check-ins and overnight on-call coverage
,
• Ability to travel to plants and/or customer locations approximately twice per year
