A civil construction team is looking to bring on a dedicated estimator to support its expanding dry utility division. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your estimating skills will directly contribute to the success of a growing operation. The role is focused solely on estimating-no project management responsibilities-and offers the flexibility to work remotely.
Key responsibilities
• Review construction plans and details to prepare accurate takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposals
• Communicate with clients to clarify scope and ensure complete, high-quality submissions
• Identify self-perform opportunities and confirm compliance with service provider requirements
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from material vendors and subcontractors
• Understand dry utility installation methods, materials, and specifications
• Provide budgetary estimates based on limited information and revise proposals as needed to build strong client relationships
Qualifications
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong math skills and familiarity with dry utility construction practices
• Experience with production-based bidding (required)
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Excel; InEight software experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting
