About the position
As a CDI Trainer with HCA Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in enhancing clinical documentation improvement (CDI) processes within the organization. This hybrid position requires you to provide onsite support as needed for CDI functions at both the division and facility levels. You will be responsible for interpreting data related to CDI outcomes, conducting focused reviews, and managing operational projects and pilots as defined by the organization. Your collaboration with physicians will be essential in identifying and supporting documentation improvement opportunities, ensuring that the documentation meets the required standards and enhances patient care. In this role, you will be expected to communicate effectively with senior leadership and physician leaders, adapting your communication style to suit a variety of work styles and personalities. You will need to work independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Your responsibilities will include delivering education to key stakeholders, such as physicians and advanced practice providers, in various settings, including meetings and individualized sessions. You will also contribute to the development of educational resources for providers, review documentation data to identify trends, and represent CDI in multi-departmental projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Improvement Liaison and other teams to ensure cohesive work efforts and leverage technology for physician documentation. Your role will also involve assisting with timely physician query completion and following the guidance of the CDI Operations Manager and Director to align tasks with organizational goals. This position requires a proactive approach to problem resolution and a commitment to continuous self-development, including proficiency in current and emerging technologies relevant to the role.

• Participate in coding and documentation pilots and projects.

• Collaborate with multi-department teams to leverage technology for physician documentation.

• Assist with timely physician query completion.
Requirements
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse or any credential nationally recognized as administered through AHIMA or ACDIS.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
,
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare.
,
• 3+ years of experience in inpatient CDI.
,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
,
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
