Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Content & Curriculum to join CLOC’s Content and Education Department. As a Director of Content & Curriculum, you will play a strategic role in developing and executing high-quality educational content for our association's members. As a key driver of our educational initiatives, you will oversee content strategy, manage a diverse range of educational assets, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure impactful learning experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in content creation, experience managing subject matter experts, and an understanding of the association industry.
This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities:
• Content Strategy, Development, & Execution (50%):
• Set and execute the content strategy to align with organizational goals and member needs.
• Oversee the development and continuous refinement of CLOC’s industry-standard curriculum.
• Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content that educates and engages members.
• Oversee podcast production and management, ensuring high-quality content creation and effective distribution.
• Curate existing content from internal and external sources to provide a diverse range of educational materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform knowledge and experience into easily understandable content.
• Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and style.
• Leadership and Community Engagement (30%):
• Lead volunteer groups tasked with content and curriculum development to project manage and deliver various outputs.
• Partner with the marketing team to promote educational content through various channels.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing and engaging content assets.
• Collaborate with the community team to recommend content and subject matter experts and to facilitate learning in our group forums.
• Engage with members and subject matter experts to gather feedback and incorporate their insights.
• Coordinate with the technology team to optimize content delivery platforms and user experience.
• Content Management and Optimization (20%):
• Oversee the implementation and management of a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Maintain and evolve the organization’s content library, ensuring accurate metadata and categorization.
• Leverage performance analytics to assess content effectiveness and implement data-driven improvements.
• Continuously evaluate emerging trends and technologies in digital education and content strategy to enhance programming.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, education, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in content strategy, educational program development, and thought leadership.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail and grammar.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS) and familiarity with digital publishing tools.
• Familiarity with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to track content performance.
• Experience with virtual learning development and engagement.
• Some experience in podcast production.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
