About the position

The Vice President of Conversions & Strategic Services for Retirement Plan Services at Lincoln Financial Group is a pivotal role that provides executive and strategic leadership to achieve key business objectives. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic development, planning, evaluation, and execution of new business plan implementations, deconversions, payroll conversion services, business plan communications, and strategic project support specifically for Retirement Plan Services. The VP will also provide thought leadership and oversight to ensure that programs strategically align with the key business objectives of the enterprise and the area of responsibility. In this role, the VP will oversee the strategic development and implementation of new plans, deconversions, payroll conversion services, and business plan communications, ensuring that these initiatives achieve the key business objectives for the enterprise and Retirement Plan Services. The VP will provide strategic direction regarding regulatory compliance changes in the retirement space, identifying the operational impact and leading the department in developing necessary mitigation plans. A strong focus will be placed on building and driving outstanding service quality to plan sponsors, intermediaries, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders, resulting in high client satisfaction while promoting efficiency and quality. The VP will utilize specialized expertise in retirement plans to develop, identify, and implement best practices and strategic process improvements related to the implementation of new plans, plan maintenance, and compliance services. This role also involves leading and overseeing efficient and cost-effective operations by fostering a culture of continuous operational improvements. The VP will ensure the development and maintenance of an effective organizational structure, including efficient workflow patterns, established performance standards, and suitable staffing levels. Additionally, the VP will lead or participate in industry, enterprise, or cross-functional strategic projects aimed at enhancing client experience through improved functionality and service offerings. The position requires managing and being responsible for single or multiple functional area budgets, planning, assigning, and coordinating work across multiple functional areas. The VP will maintain knowledge of current and emerging developments and trends in the retirement space, assessing their impact and collaborating with executive and senior management to incorporate these trends into current and future strategies. Finally, the VP will lead the identification, development, and implementation of strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, business unit, and Retirement Plan Services organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).

• 12+ years of increasing financial and operational management experience within the financial services industry, including 5+ years of senior management experience in a large complex organization.

• At least 5+ years of retirement plan services experience.

Nice-to-haves
• Operations, implementation, Client Relationship and/or Sales experience within the retirement plan services industry.

• Series 6 or 26 license.
