Data Engineer (Jr.)

<p>We are currently looking for <strong> Data Engineers</strong> to join our team based in our Huawei Turkey R&amp;D Center.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience </strong><br></p><ul> <li> <strong>BSc</strong> or <strong>MSc degree</strong> in <strong>Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering</strong> or a related technical field of study.</li> <li>Open to work in <strong>Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir offices. (Our working style is onsite)</strong> </li> <li>Hands-on experience on complex <strong>SQL queries.</strong> </li> <li>Proficiency in <strong>Unix/Linux</strong> environments.</li> <li>Working experience on Big Data platforms is a plus for Junior &amp; FG candidates.</li> <li>Coding experience in at least one modern programming language <strong>(Python etc.)</strong> </li> <li>Hands-on experience on optimize complex queries by applying clean coding principles.</li> <li>Experience on performing root cause analysis on data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.</li> <li>Strong desire for continuous learning and development.</li> <li>Strong multi-tasking abilities and motivation in a fast paced environment.</li> <li>Passion for sharing what you've learnt and confidence to ask others for help.</li> <li>Good in both written and spoken English.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Employ big data solutions and build the ETL pipelines that power the lifecycle of App Gallery operation from serving, search, recommendation, discovery, and personalization.</li> <li>Develop, optimize and test SparkSQL queries in the big data ecosystem and analyze complex data related issues and optimize solution.</li> <li>Using SparkSQL to translate data into meaningful insights and share with project members and stakeholders.</li> <li>Define, develop and present executive-level insights and reports to senior leadership to support business decision making.</li> <li>Analyze and resolve technical problems.</li> <li>Support and collaborate with a global App Gallery team.</li> </ul>
