Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a remote team of data engineers, providing technical direction and career development.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures using modern technologies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility across data platforms.
- Define and implement data engineering best practices, coding standards, and process improvements.
- Oversee ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing solutions, and data lake architectures.
- Manage data infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Coordinate sprint planning, code reviews, and engineering delivery timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, Spark, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with modern data stack: Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Expertise in building and managing scalable data platforms on the cloud.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in a remote-first environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile development environments.
