About the position

Our client is a leading healthcare company with urgent needs for experienced Radiology Appointment Schedulers. This position is work-from-home, however, candidates MUST live within 1-hour of Aurora, CO. Medical scheduling experience utilizing appointing software is required. Equipment will be provided by the client. This is a 6-month assignment with potential to extend or convert to permanent. Candidates must pass a typing test with a minimum speed of 45 words per minute. The role involves utilizing a clinical appointment system to process clinic providers' schedules and maintain access for plan members to clinicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and generating clinic appointments to improve utilization, assisting with data entry of patient encounters, and distributing reports daily. The position requires accurate entry of clinical information and maintaining provider master appointment schedules for clinical departments. The scheduler will also assist clinical staff with scheduling providers and provide instruction on proper scheduling techniques. A detailed review of outgoing appointment schedules is necessary, along with timely distribution to designated clinical departments. Additionally, the role includes assisting receptionists with data entry of patient encounter information as required.

Responsibilities
• Utilizes clinical appointment system to process clinic providers' schedules and monthly appointment calendars.

• Reviews, updates, and generates clinic appointments to improve clinic utilization.

• Assists with data entry of patient encounters and distributes computer printouts and reports daily.

• Operates computer and accurately enters clinical information.
,
• Enters and maintains provider master appointment schedules for clinical departments as assigned.

• Revises related support documents as necessary and generates appointments for providers according to established procedures.

• Receives, reviews, verifies, and completes clinical providers' monthly calendars and daily schedules.
,
• Responds to routine and urgent requests in an efficient, accurate, and timely fashion.

• Assists clinical staff with scheduling of providers and provides one-to-one instruction on scheduling techniques.

• Performs detailed review of all outgoing appointment schedules and distributes them to designated clinical departments in a timely manner.

• Assists appointments/receptionists with data entry of patient encounter information as required.

Requirements
• Medical scheduling experience utilizing appointing software is required.

• Typing skills with a minimum speed of 45 words per minute.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with EMR and EHR/Epic systems.
