Xray Technologist (Pain Management)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced X-Ray Technician with a strong background in pain management imaging procedures to join our specialized clinic. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating diagnostic imaging equipment, particularly fluoroscopy, and comfortable working in a high-paced interventional environment. You will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during image-guided procedures and ensuring patient safety and image quality. **1099 Position - Minimum 6 month contract **
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures under physician direction, with a focus on pain management interventions (e.g., epidural injections, facet blocks, spinal cord stimulator trials).
Ensure proper patient positioning, technique, and radiation safety during all imaging procedures.
Collaborate closely with pain management physicians during interventional procedures to provide real-time imaging guidance.
Maintain and calibrate radiologic equipment; troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
Prepare patients by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
Document procedures accurately in image logs.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations as well as internal policies.
Maintain a clean and organized imaging suite, with adherence to infection control protocols.
Assist with patient flow, and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of radiologic experience, with at least 1 year in a pain management or interventional setting preferred.
Skills:
Strong understanding of fluoroscopy and C-arm operation.
Knowledge of spinal anatomy and interventional pain procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in outpatient or ambulatory surgical centers.
BLS or ACLS certification
Working Conditions:
Standing for long periods and assisting with patient transfers as needed.
Exposure to radiation; appropriate safety measures and PPE will be provided.
Fast-paced clinical environment requiring multitasking and collaboration.
