Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy Development: Work closely with client organizations to develop and implement effective HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Support clients in the recruitment process by creating job descriptions, conducting interviews, and assisting in onboarding. Provide strategies for improving employee retention.
- Employee Relations: Offer advice and solutions for resolving workplace conflicts and building a positive work culture.
- Compliance: Ensure client organizations comply with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Performance Management: Guide clients in establishing performance management systems, conducting appraisals, and setting clear goals for employees.
- Training & Development: Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity, ensuring continuous professional growth.
- HR Audits: Conduct HR audits to identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas within client organizations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and present HR metrics and analysis to clients, helping them make data-driven decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in HR consulting, with expertise in talent management, employee relations, and HR strategy.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- High level of organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
- Proficient in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, performance management systems, etc.).
- Ability to work independently, with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in a consulting or advisory role.
- Experience working remotely and managing HR tasks for clients in Canada.
- A strong track record of successfully implementing HR strategies that improve employee engagement, reduce turnover, and enhance organizational performance.
- Prior experience in advising on organizational change, employee benefits, and payroll management is a plus.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time, remote position offering flexible working hours to accommodate the needs of clients across Canada.
- Expect to work approximately 35-40 hours per week, with the flexibility to set your own schedule.
- Occasional overtime may be required depending on project deadlines and client needs.
