Key Responsibilities Assign accurate codes for inpatient or outpatient services based on medical record documentation. Ensure coding compliance with regulatory guidelines, including CMS and payer-specific policies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and clarify documentation. Stay updated on coding regulations, including ICD-10 and CPT updates. Meet productivity and quality benchmarks as outlined by the organization. Qualifications Current certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent). Experience in inpatient or outpatient coding (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
