Location: Grand Junction, CO

Employment Position: PRN

Shift: Weekdays (Monday-Friday), 8hr Day Shift

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State issued x-ray license required as appropriate.
• 1 year of x-ray experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider required within 30 days of hire.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of x-ray procedures, positing, equipment and protocols.
• Operate x-ray equipment in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
• Adhere to ALARA, ensuring patient safety is a priority.
• Maintain required records, logs and monthly reports, as appropriate.
• Knowledge and enforcement of infection control and safety procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean working environment.
• Greet patients prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explain procedures to reduce anxiety, enter and validate patient demographics and confirm all ordered exams are completed.
• Perform quality work in a timely manner.
• Evaluate images for technical quality.
• Able to push, pull, lift as necessary.
• Communicate equipment issues to appropriate team members.
• Provide excellent care and customer service.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with team members.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures and professional guidelines.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
