About the position

The Senior Programmer Clinical Data Programming (CDP) at WCG Clinical is responsible for developing programs to create SAS datasets from clinical databases and external data sources, adhering to clinical study protocols and statistical plans. This role also involves mentoring other programmers and ensuring the quality of data deliverables, making it crucial for the success of clinical trials.

Responsibilities
• Build SAS datasets from clinical databases and external data sources.

• Develop SAS macros, templates, and utilities for data cleaning and reporting.
,
• Utilize SDTM guidelines to build datasets.
,
• Communicate with internal teams to create deliverables for clients.
,
• Write SAS programs to generate tables, listings, and figures datasets.
,
• Act as the SAS Subject Matter Expert (SME) in collaboration with Clinical Data Sciences members on various projects.
,
• Participate in identifying and creating edit checks per the data transfer plan.
,
• Create and provide study-specific reports using SAS.
,
• Monitor data transfers for ongoing trials.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
,
• 7-10 years of SAS and/or ETL programming experience in a business environment required.
,
• 5 years of SAS Data Programming experience in Clinical trials strongly recommended.
,
• Experience with electronic Clinical Database Systems is required.
,
• Knowledge of GCP is essential.
,
• Detail-oriented with a track record of problem-solving.
,
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Ability to quality check all data deliverables.
,
• Ability to create presentations and interpret data for clients.
,
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
,
• Knowledge of R or Power BI is a plus.

• Experience with electronic reporting applications preferred.
