About the position
The Quality & Safety Improvement Consultant V is responsible for providing consultation and education related to clinical quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and infection prevention. This role involves evaluating, designing, and implementing evidence-based guidelines to optimize patient outcomes, as well as collecting and analyzing clinical data for various stakeholders. The consultant will also facilitate education on compliance methods, monitor occurrences that may lead to liability, and support continuous survey readiness programs.
Responsibilities
• Provide consultation and education on clinical quality and patient safety.

• Evaluate, design, and implement evidence-based guidelines to reduce variation in clinical practice.

• Collect, analyze, and present clinical data for various users, including regulatory agencies.
,
• Facilitate education on compliance methods and regulatory requirements.
,
• Monitor and report occurrences that may lead to medical center liability and develop mitigation plans.
,
• Support continuous survey readiness programs to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
,
• Serve as a liaison with government and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role.
,
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets or continuous quality improvement tools.
,
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in a clinical setting or health care administration.
,
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field AND six (6) years of experience in quality or performance improvement, or nine (9) years of experience in a directly related field.

• Registered Nurse License (California).
,
• Knowledge of clinical quality expertise, risk management, compliance management, and quality improvement.

• Experience with Lean/Six-Sigma concepts and techniques.
