Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and within budgetary constraints.
• Taxation: Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial records.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
• Payroll Processing: Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll, including deductions and employee benefits.
• Compliance and Regulation: Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and tax laws to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
• Experience: At least 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel) and financial modeling tools.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and resolve financial discrepancies or issues efficiently.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Experience in the preparation of tax filings and familiarity with the Kenyan tax system is an advantage.
• Prior experience in payroll processing and supporting audits is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time positions with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Flexibility may be required during peak financial periods or audit cycles.
