<p>As a Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in our sourcing and procurement strategy, ensuring we secure high-quality materials and components that align with our manufacturing needs and client demands. Reporting to the procurement leadership team, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with product development, production, and sales teams to support the seamless delivery of custom products to top-tier retailers. This is a full-time opportunity based anywhere in the USA, offering flexibility for remote work with occasional travel to supplier sites or industry events as needed.</p>
<h1><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></h1>

<li>Source and procure raw materials, components, and finished goods specific to socks, hosiery, apparel, and accessories, ensuring timely availability to meet production schedules.</li>
<li>Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and ethical sourcing practices.</li>
<li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve optimal value, including volume discounts and long-term agreements.</li>
<li>Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, material innovations, and supply chain disruptions in the socks and hosiery sector.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve any procurement-related issues that could impact manufacturing timelines.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, sustainability goals, and retailer-specific requirements, such as those from major chains like Walmart and Costco.</li>
<li>Monitor supplier performance through regular audits, scorecards, and feedback loops to drive continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and supply chain efficiency for senior management review.</li>
<li>Travel as required (up to 20%) to trade shows, supplier facilities, or client meetings to build networks and explore new opportunities.</li>

<h1><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></h1>

<li>Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the socks and hosiery industry, with any level of hands-on involvement in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.</li>
<li>Demonstrated track record of working with major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, or similar big-box chains, including managing vendor relationships, compliance, and fulfillment requirements.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM or CSCP) are a plus.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making, including proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for analysis).</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and external partners.</li>
