AI Engineer

<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and agile AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy fast-turnaround AI prototypes. In this role, you will work closely with our product and engineering teams to explore innovative AI solutions that can be tested and validated rapidly. You’ll play a critical role in translating conceptual ideas into tangible MVPs using machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI technologies.<br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul> <li>Rapidly build and iterate on AI prototypes using tools such as AI Agents, LLM API calls, Pydantic AI, Langchain, RAGs, and other&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI use cases and data requirements.</li> <li>Build interactive demos or APIs to showcase the prototypes to internal or external stakeholders.</li> <li>Stay current with AI/ML advancements and evaluate new tools and libraries that can accelerate development.</li> <li>Optimize app performance and scalability for proof-of-concept demos.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><em><strong>Minimum:</strong></em></p><ul> <li>Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including advanced types and modern features.</li> <li>Strong experience with the React and Remix full-stack frameworks.</li> <li>Solid understanding of Node.js and its ecosystem.</li> <li>Proven experience with modern build tools (Vite) and package managers (pnpm).</li> <li>Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Understanding of in-browser development environments and WebContainers.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills in a full-stack, real-time development context.</li> <li>Solid grasp of full-stack web application development principles.</li> <li>Understanding of AI agent interaction and prompt engineering.</li> <li>Experience with automated code quality and testing tools (ESLint, Prettier, Vitest or similar).</li> <li>Practical experience integrating and managing third-party APIs, particularly LLM APIs.</li> <li>Foundational understanding of LLM concepts (context windows, prompt engineering).</li> <li>Experience with Cloudflare Workers/Pages for serverless logic.</li> <li>Proficiency in SCSS and UnoCSS (or Tailwind CSS).</li> <li>Solid understanding of Git, including pull request workflows and conflict resolution.</li> </ul><p><em><strong><br>Preferred:&nbsp;</strong></em></p><ul> <li>Experience integrating AI/LLM technologies (e.g., Vercel AI SDK, @ai-sdk/openai).</li> <li>Familiarity with Python, especially in shell environments.</li> <li>Experience with Cloudflare-specific tools (Wrangler, KV).</li> <li>Experience with monorepo/workspace tools (pnpm workspaces, Nx, Turborepo, Lerna).</li> <li>Knowledge of binary/text file handling, character encoding, and file system abstraction.</li> <li>Expertise in advanced CSS and modern CSS-in-JS methodologies.</li> <li>Active participation in open source projects.</li> <li>Experience with Coolify for deployment automation.</li> <li>Implementation of Git hooks with Husky and lint-staged for code quality.</li> <li>Understanding and application of CI/CD principles.</li> <li>Familiarity with testing frameworks beyond Vitest (e.g., Jest, E2E testing).</li> <li>Experience with Linux/Mac/Windows packaging (Electron Builder).</li> <li>Understanding of cloud and DevOps concepts, including Docker, environment variables, and deployment pipelines.</li> <li>Experience creating technical documentation using Markdown.</li> <li>Experience with specific integrated services (Supabase, Expo, Stripe, Figma).</li> <li>Deeper understanding of Web Workers for performance optimization.</li> <li>Advanced LLM interaction principles (Prompt Engineering, Model Stacking).</li> <li>Strong grasp of native React and Remix state management patterns.</li> <li>Ability to design and implement custom state synchronization mechanisms.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Remote-first with hybrid flexibility</strong></p><p>We’re a remote-first team with the option for hybrid work depending on your location and preferences.
