About the position
As a Home Health Registered Nurse in the Sacramento area, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to a diverse population in their homes. This role requires a compassionate and skilled nurse who can adapt to various patient needs and environments. You will be expected to perform nursing duties that include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The position is part-time and operates on a per diem basis, meaning you will be compensated for each visit you make, which typically lasts between 20 to 30 minutes, although some visits may require more time and will be compensated at a higher rate. In this role, you will also be responsible for updating patient documentation, which may require training or assistance from other staff members. The initial interview can be conducted remotely, but the final interview will take place at the office in Sacramento, where additional forms will need to be completed. Given the nature of home health care, you will need to provide various documentation, including a valid driver's license, Social Security Number card, TB test results, physical exam documentation, auto insurance, CPR/BLS certification, and immunization records. This position requires at least one year of experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility, with additional experience in home health care preferred. You will be working on the road, providing care in patients' homes, which requires flexibility and the ability to manage your schedule effectively. The shifts may vary, including day and evening shifts, and you may be required to work weekends as needed.
