About the position
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with fare quotes and boarding gate functions.
- Perform assignments at the ticket counter, airport lobby, baggage counter, and gate check-in.
- Maintain professional interaction with airline passengers, clients, and crew.
- Translate and transcribe when possible.
- Handle company assets carefully and be aware of costs associated with damage.
- Complete accurate cash handling transactions, manifests, and labeling.
- Operate machinery according to operational policies and standards.
- Use computers, printers, and other equipment to manage data confidentially.
- Read and comprehend reference materials, instructions, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to obtain security clearance from US Customs and Border Protection.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Computer literate with common sense and organizational skills.
- Ability to make quick and rational decisions.
- Effective communication and good listening skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Arabic, Chinese, or Vietnamese.
