About the position
The Associate Accountant, Tax position at Molina Healthcare is responsible for managing various aspects of taxation, including compliance, planning, forecasting, and reporting. This role involves assisting with federal, state, and local tax returns, as well as ensuring compliance with SOX regulations and responding to tax agency inquiries. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional meetings at the Long Beach, CA office.
Responsibilities
• Assist with filing federal, state, and local consolidated/combined corporate income tax returns.

• Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory tax provisions, including calculations of permanent and temporary differences.

• Reconcile tax payable accounts quarterly.

• Assist with quarterly federal and state corporate tax projections for estimated taxes and extensions, including preparing related forms and payment requests.

• Prepare company-wide state apportionment schedules.

• Calculate and document tax credits.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

• 0-1 years of experience in tax accounting or related field.

• Knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
