Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues to clients via phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, escalating issues to higher levels when necessary.
- Manage and maintain system performance, ensuring optimal functioning of devices and networks.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems for clients.
- Monitor system and network performance using appropriate tools to detect and address potential issues proactively.
- Maintain detailed documentation of support cases, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement IT solutions that enhance user experience.
- Educate clients and end-users on best practices to prevent future technical problems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or related roles (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and DNS.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira, Zendesk, or ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, technical troubleshooting, or system administration.
- Hands-on experience with remote desktop tools and support platforms is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours with a requirement to accommodate clients across different time zones.
- Availability for occasional weekend or after-hours support may be required.
