Trustpoint.One is partnering with a leading veterans focused law firm in its search for an Attorney experienced in representing current service members or veterans. This firm’s practice is exclusively limited to representing those who are serving or have served in any branch of the military and other government organizations. The firm represents those who have been injured in service, who are challenging allegations of misconduct, who are entitled to a military disability pension, and who are in need of a medical evaluation board. The firm is open to the person in this role working on a remote basis, and there is the potential to convert to an employee of the firm.

The successful candidate will be an experienced lawyer with Judge Advocate experience, a military retiree, or a Human Resources NCO. The candidate must be a current or prior service military member with at least 5 years of experience, ideally working in the Office of Soldiers Counsel, Office of Airmens Counsel, Navy and Marine Corps Disability Attorneys, or United States Coast Guard’s Physical Disability Evaluation System Legal Counsel. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Focusing on the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process and developing timelines and identifying other actions necessary
• Managing the entire IDES and legal process from beginning to end
• Establishing and executing the legal strategies and policies necessary to meet our clients’ legal issues
• Managing a client’s case from beginning to end
• Organizing and managing clients’ digital and hardcopy records

Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience as current or prior service military
• 3-5 years’ experience providing legal support to service members
• Familiar with IDES and ability to comprehend military regulations and policy relating to the relevant caseload
• Extreme attention to detail with perfectionistic tendencies
• Enjoy working independently
• High ethical standards
