Serve as the primary point of contact for all emergency and non-emergency calls received by the Police Department.
Respond to calls in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded and dispatched to the appropriate officers.
Monitor and coordinate radio communications with law enforcement officers in the field.
Maintain accurate logs and records of all calls and dispatch activities.
Provide support and assistance to officers in the field as needed.
Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, while effectively communicating with callers and officers.
Utilize various computer systems and software to access and record information.
Follow department protocols and procedures for handling various types of calls, including emergency and non-emergency situations.
Collaborate with other dispatchers and law enforcement personnel to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
Attend and participate in training and continuing education programs to maintain certification and stay updated on department policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
Provide excellent customer service to members of the community and represent the Police Department in a professional and positive manner.
