About Us: Northwest Medical Specialties, PLLC is a leading oncology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate cancer care to patients in Washington State. We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Physician to join our team part-time, serving as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and Authorized User (AU) for our Nuclear Medicine Dept Theranostics program. This position can work remotely but would need the ability to come on site when needed, with advanced notice and planning.

Total hours per month: Roughly 10-20 hours

Responsibilities:

Radiation Safety Officer (RSO):
• Oversee the radiation safety program to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Review quarterly audits performed by Health Physicist to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to radiation safety.
• Provide ongoing education and training to staff regarding radiation safety practices.
• Investigate and report any radiation incidents or safety concerns.

Authorized User (AU):
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities regarding the use of radioactive materials.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing the use of radioactive materials.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper authorization and documentation for the use of radioactive materials in patient care. Apply tot his job
