About the position
The Lead Credit Officer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. is responsible for analyzing credit risk for clients in the real estate, gaming, and lodging sectors. This role involves monitoring portfolio performance, producing periodic review reports, and assessing credit proposals. The Lead Credit Officer will also manage a team of credit analysts, participate in recruitment and training, and coordinate with various internal teams for deal flow related to Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Real Estate & Investment Banking transactions. Telecommuting is permitted up to 40% of the week, with some domestic travel required.
Responsibilities
• Analyze credit risk for clients in the real estate, gaming, and lodging sectors.

• Monitor portfolio performance and produce periodic review reports, including annual reviews.
,
• Identify key risks and mitigation measures while assessing credit proposals.
,
• Utilize assigned lending authority to approve underwriting, structuring, and risk grading of CIB real estate loans.

• Coordinate with the Securitized Products Group team for deal flow related to CMBS transactions.
,
• Work with CIB Coverage and Global Corporate Banking partners for REALIB deals.
,
• Participate in due diligence and provide credit expertise in structuring new debt facilities.
,
• Develop detailed financial models specific to the company, including transaction details and credit metrics.

• Conduct sensitivity analysis on projections for stress testing on loans and serviceability.
,
• Analyze deal-specific covenants to monitor loans and act as early warning signals.
,
• Manage a team of credit analysts, supervising deliverables and developing junior employees' skills.

• Participate in recruitment and training of junior team members.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Credit Officer, Credit Officer, Investment Associate/Analyst, or related occupation.
,
• Experience in credit underwriting and credit analytics.
,
• Experience in CRE lending across various sectors including office, multifamily, retail, industrial, lodging & gaming, cruise line, and specialty assets.
,
• Knowledge of U.S. and international markets and various loan types including term loans and structured finance loans.
,
• Familiarity with corporate banking products including bonds, derivatives, and corporate credit cards.
,
• Experience in CRE project loan portfolio management and mortgage warehousing portfolio management.

• Strong accounting and corporate finance knowledge.
,
• Proficiency in three-statement financial modeling and syndicated bank loan market.
