About the position

The Program Administrator for the Chemical Biology Program at York University is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students. This role involves developing and implementing program policies, managing program activities, and serving as a liaison for visa processes. The administrator will also prepare reports, analyze trends, and coordinate events and workshops, ensuring smooth operations within the program.

Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in the Chemical Biology Program.

• Develop and implement program policies and procedures.

• Administer and monitor program purchasing transactions.
,
• Prepare annual and interim reports and analyze trends and projections.
,
• Manage and coordinate program activities, including website development and maintenance.
,
• Plan and organize events and workshops.
,
• Serve as a liaison to the Office of Global Services, facilitating the visa process for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and short-term visitors.

• Resolve problems related to program activities.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required.
,
• 3+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree or equivalent combination.
,
• Experience overseeing office and program activities and administering budgets is essential.
,
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Strong organizational skills.
,
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software on both PC and MAC.

• Ability to design and maintain websites and social media platforms.

• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals including students, faculty, staff, and international visitors.
