About the position

The Director of the Behavioral Threat Management Program is responsible for developing and directing Kaiser Permanente's threat management strategy and processes. This role involves leading threat management operations across the organization, engaging with stakeholders to understand risks, and ensuring effective response protocols are in place. The director will also serve as a subject-matter expert, providing guidance to executive leadership and collaborating with external agencies to enhance threat management practices.

Responsibilities
• Direct the development of threat management strategy and processes.

• Champion organizational design for a shared service-based function for threat management.
,
• Engage with stakeholders to understand risks affecting personnel and businesses.
,
• Oversee threat management teams to forecast and respond to threats.
,
• Ensure training of field personnel in threat assessment and management processes.
,
• Serve as a subject-matter expert to executive leadership.
,
• Establish and maintain engagement with external agencies and industry associations.
,
• Plan and implement strategic programs to detect criminal violations and improve safety.
,
• Develop guidelines for facility access control as applicable.
,
• Drive continuous improvement of security systems and technology.

Requirements
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in threat management projects/programs.
,
• Minimum six (6) years of experience supporting senior leadership in project optimization.
,
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in stakeholder engagement and change management.
,
• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral/Mental Health, Nursing, Public Administration, or related field.
,
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in consulting, project management, or related fields.
