About the position

Responsibilities

  • Perform interpretive diagnostic studies as ordered by the referring physician/provider.
  • Exhibit quality patient care and utilize safety measures for patients and staff.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Work at other NCCH-designated work locations or sites as needed.
  • Provide safe and appropriate patient care while performing diagnostic studies.
  • Assist radiologist with full patient history and proper tools for exams.
  • Complete all exams fully, including paperwork and billing procedures.
  • Confirm and compare correct patient exam information to minimize discrepancies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms.
  • Capture clear diagnostic images of patients using proper equipment, techniques, and positions.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to position patients for maximum diagnostic yield.
  • Administer magnetic resonance imaging and ensure safety measures are followed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited school of Radiology or certificate from an accredited Radiography program required.
  • 1 year experience working in MRI in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted Arizona CRT license.
  • Current national certification (ARRT) (R).
  • MRI extended registry if certified; current MRI certification preferred but must be obtained within 2 years of hire if not certified.
  • CT extended registry if certified; current CT certification preferred.
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association) upon date of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Extensive knowledge of radiographic procedures, magnetic resonance imaging procedures, and computed tomography procedures.
  • Ability to maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge through workshops and educational opportunities.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements and medical terminology.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
