Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the companys interests.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations applicable to the business.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations with external parties, including regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, HR, and operations, to provide legal support for their initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) is required; a Masters degree (LLM) or equivalent qualification in corporate law is highly desirable.
  • Active membership in the bar association or a valid license to practice law.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Corporate Lawyer, Legal Counsel, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a fast-paced business environment or a legal firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
  • Experience in managing cross-border legal issues is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.
