Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the companys interests.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations applicable to the business.
Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations with external parties, including regulatory authorities.
Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, HR, and operations, to provide legal support for their initiatives.
Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) is required; a Masters degree (LLM) or equivalent qualification in corporate law is highly desirable.
Active membership in the bar association or a valid license to practice law.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Corporate Lawyer, Legal Counsel, or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in legal research tools and software.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a fast-paced business environment or a legal firm.
Demonstrated expertise in handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
Experience in managing cross-border legal issues is an advantage.

Working Hours

Full-time position.
