About the position
Patterson is seeking an Accounting & Loan Operations Supervisor to lead the accounting and loan operations for its US and Canada Dental and US Vet equipment finance business. This role is pivotal in managing, reviewing, and developing loan operations and reporting procedures for the corporate equipment financing department. The supervisor will report directly to the Sr Equipment Finance Operations Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that accounting and loan operations are both highly efficient and effective. The successful candidate will manage, coach, and develop the Loan Processing and Lien Administration team members, ensuring that documentation for Strategic Accounts and Equipment Finance teams is timely and properly prepared. This includes the preparation of installment contracts, proper lien filings, and ongoing contract insurance coverage. The supervisor will also educate and guide branch personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation preparation and submission, while managing communication regarding transaction funding status. In addition to these responsibilities, the supervisor will demonstrate sound judgment in directing the loan processing team, manage software and accounting entries related to contract modifications, repossession, or legal activity, and accurately calculate and report finance bonuses for each business unit. The role also involves ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of equipment finance general ledger accounts, continuously reviewing and obtaining feedback to recommend improvements, and preparing reports under the general direction of the Sr Equipment Finance Operations Manager. The incumbent may also perform additional functions as needed, including projects arising from day-to-day business operations.

• Manage ongoing assessment and continuous improvement of all processing procedures to ensure policy compliance.

• Provide backup support to Accounting Program Manager, Financial Software Analyst, and other cross-departmental support as directed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.

• 2+ years of accounting experience; mortgage or installment loan lending/banking environment preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Proven oral, written, and presentation skills.

• Ability to demonstrate strong customer service.
