We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Payroll Specialist to join our remote team. As an HR Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for our employees across various states in the USA. Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly, monthly, or other payroll cycles for all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and regulations.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including deductions, benefits, and bonuses.
- Work closely with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
- Calculate overtime, commissions, and bonuses according to company policies.
- Administer benefits, including health, dental, and retirement plans, and process payroll deductions.
- Prepare and file required payroll reports, tax filings, and year-end forms, such as W-2s and 1099s.
- Assist in the development and improvement of payroll policies and procedures.
- Respond to employee payroll-related questions and resolve issues promptly.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar HR-related role, preferably in a remote setting.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks).
- Familiarity with federal and state labor laws and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual team is a plus.
Working Hours:
- This is a full-time, remote position with flexible working hours.
- The ideal candidate will be expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional overtime may be required during peak payroll periods.

- Knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance with applicable laws.
- Strong numerical aptitude and understanding of payroll-related calculations.
