Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter medical and healthcare data into our system from a variety of sources, including patient records, medical forms, and billing statements.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of entered data to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and medical databases.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive medical information in accordance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and other departments to resolve discrepancies in data.
  • Perform regular data quality checks to ensure data integrity and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of medical reports and other related documents as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in data entry or a similar role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare data management, and EHR systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of data entry software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry, preferably within the healthcare or medical field.
  • Experience with medical records management, healthcare systems, and EHR software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and data protection laws is a plus.
