style="font-size: 11pt">The Controller is responsible for all accounting reporting and operational functions including, but not limited to annual audit management, general ledger accounting, standard cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash management and reconciliation, regulatory and financial reporting, tax compliance, revenue recognition, commissions and equity as well as the development and documentation of internal control policies and procedures.</span></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 11pt">Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </b></p><p><br></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department of 5+, ensuring a standard level of internal controls, audit procedures, and techniques are applied. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Ensure that the organization’s financial records are maintained in compliance with organizational policies and GAAP. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Prepare for, coordinate, and lead the annual audit process with a big-4 firm including being the liaison between external auditors and key stakeholders. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Lead a high-quality and timely monthly/quarterly close process. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Ensure timely billing, cash collections, and preparation of weekly and monthly cash-flow reports and projections. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Work closely with the Revenue Operations team to manage the quote-to-cash business process, revenue recognition, and commissions under ASC 606 and company policies. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Ensure proper controls and accounting procedures are documented and effective. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Monitor and control inventory balances and activity with third-party manufacturers. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Oversee regulatory reporting of tax and compliance items and ensure that sales tax reports, payroll taxes, income taxes, tax credits, and annual reports and tax returns are timely and accurately filed in all applicable geographies. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Ensure compliance on an international basis as the company expands outside of the US into foreign locations. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Review organization payroll, monthly/quarterly account reconciliations, and other filings to ensure compliance. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Communicate Accounting priorities and processes cross-functionally.</span></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 11pt">Qualifications:</b></p><p><br></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">10+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years of experience managing a team of finance and accounting professionals.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">NetSuite (specifically ARM), SFDC, and/or Avalara experience.</span></p><p>•M<span style="font-size: 11pt">ust have experience with managing the scope, timelines, and technical accounting aspects of a Big 4 Audit.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Strong SaaS model experience is required, with knowledge and understanding of traditional SaaS metrics.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Experience with managing inventory and overseeing cost accounting preferred. </span></p><p>•Strongly preferred, Big-4 auditing experience. </p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Experience with implementing technical accounting guidelines, such as ASC 606, 842, 730, etc., and comfort with the preparation of technical memos.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Deep understanding of and experience in financial reporting, establishing internal controls, and audit readiness/execution.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">International business experience, including regulatory compliance and inter-company consolidations. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Observant, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Self-starter that seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Excellent analytical, reasoning, and 11pt">Hands-on professional who excels at both strategy and execution.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Strong Excel and Google application experience.</span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 11pt">Education: </b><span style="font-size: 11pt">BA/BS in Accounting or Finance</span></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 11pt">Certificates and Licenses: </b><span style="font-size: 11pt">CPA preferred</span></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 11pt">Supervisory Responsibilities: </b></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Managing 5-10 direct and indirect reports on the accounting team. </span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Developing a top-tier team that works collaboratively across the company to streamline processes and implement systems to scale the business.</span></p><p>•<span style="font-size: 11pt">Strong track record of successfully motivating, developing, and helping people reach their full
