Heat Waves is seeking a QA Analyst to join our remote-first team. This role will contribute to an innovative and highly confidential track of work for one of our largest clients. Agency experience is a big plus. Note: this is a 9-12 week contract. There may be a possibility to extend.

Role Overview

QA is an integral part of the team at Heat Waves. Here, you will collaborate with various product teams to develop, document and execute software test plans in order to identify software issues pre and post product launch.

Responsibilities
• Create tests plans in order to identify bugs and ensure feature completion
• Analyze bugs found during tests and provide clear steps to reproduce
• Document results of tests for the engineering team
• Assess the development process for efficiency and performance
• Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance and improve products
• Assist in running automated tests within Cypress during releases
• Collaborate with the design team to fully understand the creative intent and represent the vision during testing
• Generate reports that reflect product status at any given time
• Leverage Jira to manage and track the development of product features and bugs
• Attend, participate in, and potentially lead daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog grooming sessions and retrospectives
• Collaborate with creative teams to interpret and document UI requirements

Required Qualifications
• 3+ Years of experience in software quality assurance
• Experience creating and documenting software test plans
• Experience testing software for bugs and recommending opportunities for improvement
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills, including creating sprint reports
• Well versed in the agile methodology
• Understands when to escalate issues and be a driving force to align the team
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision Apply tot his job
