Position Summary:
A closing manager manages the day-to-day operations of the closing department to ensure all loans are closed and funded within guidelines. The role focuses on mentoring a team that includes closing disclosure preparers, closers, and funders with a high success rate.
The individual must be able to concentrate in an open and fast-paced environment, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work well under pressure.
The individual must have strong communication skills and be able to develop relationships with sales partners, their direct reports, co-workers, attorneys, and title companies.
Must be able to prioritize, follow instructions, take direction from others, and work well alone or in a group.
Must be familiar with general mortgage terms, can recognize, and understands the documents required in the processing and closing of mortgage loans.
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in loan closing administration, prior supervisory experience is required.
• The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in Funding and Closing Document Preparation, or a combination thereof.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of the mortgage industry.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, organized and be a self-motivated individual.
• Problem solver with excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of mortgage closing and funding policy and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor at all position levels.
• Solid knowledge of Federal and State regulatory requirements
• Solid knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, and Government guidelines related to closing and funding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to effectively interact with various styles and levels of management and be able to adjust own communication style based on the audience.
• Strong PC skills, including, Excel, Word, Loan origination systems, etc.
• Ability to consistently maintain high levels of performance in stressful situations.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of TRID, including Compliance Ease review.
• Responsible for managing a team of closing disclosure preparers, closers, and funders.
• Ensure that all closing requests are met within the established service level agreements.
• Work with business partners to coordinate closings.
• Manages capacity to ensure compliant closing documents are generated and provided to the attorney or title companies.
• Ensure that all closings/fundings are completed based upon timely receipt and tracking of documentation
• Follows up on any post closing items that are required
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Pay Disclosure:
The starting base pay for this position is $85k/annually. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
