Job Title: Investment Modernization Solution Architect
Location: Remote (Hybrid model with occasional onsite presence)

About the Role
We seek an experienced Investment Modernization Solution Architect to provide expert architectural leadership in support of investment management data and systems modernization efforts. This role requires a subject matter expert with deep expertise in system architecture, cloud platforms, data management, emerging technologies, and business alignment to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Solution Development team to provide solution architecture services on critical system change initiatives related to investment management.
• Lead the design, development, implementation, testing, support, documentation, and knowledge transfer for technology solutions addressing complex business challenges.
• Act as a subject matter expert to research, analyze, recommend, and select advanced technologies and architectural approaches aligning with business objectives and industry trends.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing systems, infrastructure, and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and impact of integrating emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing.
• Develop detailed technical and functional requirements aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
• Propose multiple design options with effort estimates and delivery timelines; guide development teams ensuring adherence to architectural standards and guidelines.
• Perform and facilitate unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Deliver documentation including technical specifications, process workflows, design artifacts, and lessons learned.
• Provide knowledge transfer through collaborative documentation, code comments, cross-training, and job shadowing.
• Comply with security standards, confidentiality agreements, and complete required security awareness trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex, large-scale enterprise environments, particularly in investment management or financial services.
• Expertise with cloud platforms, data architecture, system integration, and emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning.
• Strong skills in gathering and analyzing user requirements, designing scalable and secure architectures, and implementing approved solutions.
• Experience with technical design reviews, development oversight, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with compliance, security standards, and governance frameworks relevant to public sector or financial organizations.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Ability to work in a hybrid remote/onsite environment using own equipment.
• Understanding of vendor management and subcontracting guidelines.
• Required to complete security and confidentiality acknowledgements prior to engagement.
Additional Information
• This is a deliverables-based contract role with monthly deliverables including analysis, solution design, implementation guidance, testing support, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• No per diem or expense reimbursement is provided; consultants are expected to use their own tools and equipment.
• Engagement may be terminated at the discretion of the contracting party upon written notice.
• Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation is required and will be monitored through reporting.
• The role requires adherence to information security policies and annual security awareness training.
