As a Payroll Accountant, you will manage the processing and management of payroll for our clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for clients in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Review and maintain payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, and bonuses.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure that employee data is accurate and up to date for payroll processing.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and payments.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws to ensure compliance.
- Generate reports, including payroll summaries and employee earnings reports.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax forms and filings.
- Collaborate with management and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes for efficiency and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll accounting or a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll software and systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations in Kenya.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting roles.
- Experience in managing payroll for multiple clients or a large workforce is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll systems like Sage, QuickBooks, or any other relevant payroll software is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time position.
- Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be required to meet payroll deadlines.

- Knowledge: Deep understanding of payroll processes, accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Skills: High level of proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and organizational skills.
